An iPhone insurance review is probably one of the hardest topics to research on the internet today in my opinion. For some reason I haven’t been able to find a lot of information, as I have a feeling that quite a few of the large ‘high street’ providers are making a killing. For example, in the UK, a not-to-be-named providers (guess what folks, there is only one!) is quoting £15 for comprehensive insurance per month. To me, I just find that incredible considering the average contract tariff is only £35 per month.

There truly is some sort of monopoly, and I wanted to write about my experiences to hopefully save you all some money! My review of the top three ways to save is below!

1. Bank account insurance cover – I know for a fact that many premium account holders within the UK are automatically covered up to a certain extent. When I checked with my bank, they were happy to cover for a cost of up to £350 for free!!! Amazing right?

2. Independent online insurance companies – Did you know that you can make up to a 50% saving on the insurance policy compared to the high street provider. Just get online and do some research. Did you know that a search for ‘iPhone insurance’ in Google returned over 62 million results. There are plenty of great insurance providers out there folks!

3. Home contents insurance cover – Once again, a usually unknown source of cheap cover. For an additional £1.56 per month they gave me full cover of up to £400, and it also wouldn’t affect my no claims bonus! Unfortunately my new iPhone 3Gs is worth £600 so i had to go down the independent route.

So there you have it! My iPhone insurance review!
